Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen at Thrasher Opera House - Green Lake

As members of The Byrds, The Dillards, The Flying Burrito Brothers and the Desert Rose Band, Hillman and Pedersen have been part of the fabric of American music for nearly half a century. In the '80s, the pair helped define the sound of modern country-rock in the Desert Rose Band, and since the mid-'90s the two have been performing together as an acoustic duo.

Join the Green Team for this unique tour of 4M Bison Farm with Marcel and Marian Mildebrandt, located near traditional Native American encampments on the far east shore of Green Lake. Get up close and personal with a buffalo herd and learn about what 4M Bison Farm is doing to protect the waters of Green Lake. If we’re lucky, we may even get to see a few newly-born bison calves! Attendees should arrive promptly at 9 a.m. to start the guided tour.

Free Wheelin' Saturday - Green Lake

Bike riders of all ages and abilities are invited to get their bicycles out of winter storage for this Memorial Day weekend. Bike rides of different lengths will take place throughout the day including 9 a.m. guided rides for Loop the Lake and Huckleberry, then city circuit rides throughout the day. Join Town Square in revealing their new CHN bike garden at 11 a.m. and participate in Green Lake Greenways’ bike rodeo bike blenders.
