Family cruising around Green Lake

Family Fun Sample Itinerary

Season: Spring/Summer
Day 1 - Wednesday

Arrive in the afternoon.

Settle into your room and relax a bit.

Let the kids take a swim in the outdoor pool to unwind from your drive here.

Enjoy a casual dinner at the Gooseblind, located in downtown Green Lake.

Then head down the street for Concerts in the Park (check schedule). They have different entertainment each week during the summer and you get a different view of the lake than you do from the resort.

Day 2 - Thursday

Head to the Sunroom for Eggs Benedict and our French Toast with a side of yogurt.

Spend a fun day enjoying the lake. Rent a pontoon boat, kayak, or jet-ski (located on-site). Maybe even try your hand at fishing. Fishing poles can be rented at the recreation tent.

Enjoy a casual lunch at the BoatHouse patio and then head back on the water for the afternoon.

Try Christianos for dinner, located on Hwy 23 in Green Lake, for some amazing pizza. The Minneapolis Star Tribune said their pizza is one of the state’s finest.

Day 3 - Friday

Take a ride to Ripon, just 6 miles away, and grab a quick breakfast at McDonald's.

A short drive to Oshkosh will take you to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) museum. The museum is one of the most extensive aviation attractions in the world.

Pick up lunch at one of the many restaurants along the Highway 41 frontage road in Oshkosh.

On your way back, be sure to stop at the Ripon Good! Cookie outlet. Sample the fresh cookies prepared on site and grab a couple of your family’s favorite treats.

Spend the rest of the day renting a bike and taking a ride on the area's trails, or stay on property and do some swimming or play some tennis. Your family may also enjoy Historic Green Lake’s Walking Tour.

Enjoy the Fisherman’s Feast at the BoatHouse Pub for dinner.

Before the sun goes down, gather everyone together for a family photo with the lake view behind you to help you remember your trip.

Day 4 - Saturday

Start off your Saturday by taking an Escapade sightseeing cruise.

After breakfast, it’s time to shop! Check out the famous Princeton Flea Market, just 10 minutes away, and the shops on Water Street.

Make your way to the Cedar Ridge Ranch for a day of horse back riding or to the Mecan River Outfitters where you can take a canoe trip on the Fox River.

Bring your family together for the Steak Fry at the BoatHouse.

Indulge in an after dinner treat at the Pump House Parlor. Try one of our 12 Cedar Crest ice cream flavors.

Before turning in for the night, take a dip in our outdoor or indoor pool. Or challenge the kids to a game of ping pong in the game room.
